It can be mixed with rice and eaten, commonly known as "soru" or it can be used as side dishes for classic Tiffen like Idli(fermented and steamed rice cake) and Dosa. How to make "Yam sambar"
There are many different types of sambar starting with the simple "purupu sambar" (Dall sambar) to the more complex kathamba sambar (mixed vegetable sambar) to everything in between. Today we are going to look at how to make a "Yam sambar" (a vegetable sambar)
Ingredients:
1) Boiled Yam
2) fenugreek seeds
3) Tamarind
4) mustard
5) Urad dal
6) Homemade sambar powder
7) Curry leaves
8) Channa dal
9) Turmeric
10) red chili
