Upma's are one of the most healthy dishes in our subcontinent. But sadly most people don't like Upma's.

To solve This problem we at CookVegKitchen try to modify the existing Upma to give it a new taste. This is our delicious Rice (Arici Upma) 

                         
 Why we love Rice Upma??
                                 You may try our Upma if you wanna eat rice in a different way as it is made by crushing rice, gives it's a different taste. You may also try this if you want to eat Upma's in a different style

Health benefits of rice

                     Rice can serve as a good source of B vitamins (including thiamin, niacin, and riboflavin) and iron. Rice is also an excellent source of manganese and magnesium. Brown rice provides more vitamins than white rice. Also, rice is one of the most stable diets in the south of India

Ingredients for Rice Upma!
Grind all the 5 ingredients in Rava                          consistency
1) Rice ( 3 cups)
2) Pepper (1.5 tbsp)  
3) Jeera (1 tbsp)
4) Toor dal (2 tbsp)
5) Asafoetida (1 tbsp)

Ingredients for frying!
1) Mustard (1 tsp)
2) Jeera (1 tbsp)
3) Red chili (3)
4) Urad dal (1 tbsp)
5) Channa dal (1tbsp)
6) Curry Leaves (1 string)
7) Salt (to taste)
8) Oil ( 5 to 6 tbsp)
9) Water (7 cups)
10) Toor dal (1 tbsp)

Personal opinion:
      You may use a cooker or pan to make this dish but by using a Bronze utensil you may improve the taste and health drastically 

Preparation:
              Take a bronze pot and pour oil in it.
Add all our frying ingredients (except Toor dal, salt) when the oil starts heating and let it crack. Now add 3 cups of water and add Toor dal and salt to our mixture, stir it well and allow it to boil. (You may add extra salt if you want at this stage) Now add our blended mixture to our pot and mix it well in medium flame, close it and keep it aside for 5 min. After 5 min opens the lid and repeats the same process as above. After 10 min if the Upma is well cooked and doesn't stick to the utensil take it out.

 Now you're mostly awaited Rice Upma is ready!

Note:
     If you use a Bronze vessel don't leave it in that vessel for too long as it is unhealthy.
For better taste, you may eat it with jaggery or Nathu Chakarai
