 Jeera rice is one of the most common types of rice made instantly in the Indian subcontinent. Made using Jeera(cumin seeds), this dish is packed full of nutrients eating it along with another healthy but tasty capsicum side dish will only boost its nutrient content.

Methods of making jeera rice!
                   Jeera rice is one of the most frequently ordered rice dish restaurants. There are two types of  methods used in making jeera rice they are:
1) restaurant style
2) Home-made style
Note:(This style both homemade and hotel one changes from place to place )
In today's blog, we gonna see how to make homemade style Jeera rice

Let's dive right in!

Ingredients required for Jeera rice!
1) Basmathi rice/ raw rice (1 cup)
2) Onion (Big finely chopped, one)
3) Jeera (cumin seeds 2 tbsp)
4) Cinnamon (1inch)
5) Clove (3)
6) Indian Bay leaves (1)
7) Elachi (2)
8)  Ghee ( 4 tbsp)
9) Green chili (3)
10) Salt (to taste)
11) Water(*2 amount of rice you take)


Preparation of Jeera rice:

                     Take a pressure cooker and add ghee in it, after the ghee start heating add Jeera (cumin seeds) along with other Spices in it. after the jeera starts cracking, Add onion, green chili, and salt to the mixture and mix well. After the onion softens(don't allow it to go brown) put the washed rice into the cooker and saute it well, add water ( you may check and put extra salt if needed) and close the lid and keep it in a small burner, leave it for 2 whistle gaps. Then, turn off the gas and keep the cooker outside of the burner and allow it to release the stream after the pressure subsided open the lid and serve your dish.


Capsicum butter masala

It used to be that when I tried capsicum butter masala, my family loved it so much that after that they never touched Jeera rice without capsicum butter masala

Now let's dive into how to make this amazing dish for Jeera rice
Capsicum butter masala

Ingredients for capsicum butter masala:
1) Capsicum (2 big sizes, cut it in the cube shape)
2) Onion (1 big)
3) Tomato (2 medium sizes)
4) Ginger
5) Garlic
6) Butter ( 25gms)
7) Sugar (1 tsp)

Ingredients for the masala:

1) Clove (3)
2) Cinnamon (1ich)
3) Bay leaf ( 1, big)
4) Kashmiri red chili powder (1tsp)
5) Garam masala (1/2 tsp)
6) Turmeric powder (1/2 tsp)
7) Salt (to taste)

Preparing capsicum butter masala! 

                       Take a heavy bottom pan and add a teaspoon of butter in it. Add onion, tomato, ginger, garlic when the butter melted and mix it well. Allow it to get softens, Transfer it to another container and allow it to cool down and blend it into a fine paste. Shallow fry the capsicum in the same pan and keep it aside. Now add the remaining butter to the same pan and add clove, bay leaf, and cinnamon, heat it until the aroma comes out, add the tomato-onion paste in it (keep the flame in simmer while adding the paste) and mix it well, allow it to boil for 5 min after 5 min add Kashmiri red chili powder, salt mix it well, add water according to your consistency and allow it to boil. Now put our capsicum to the mixture and saute well until the butter from the sides of that pan comes up due to the heat. Finally, add Garam masala and sugar to our mixture and allow it for 5 min to boil and switch off the gas. You may add kasthuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves)or fresh cream for garnishing.
