Aaloo kurma- a delicious side dish for dosa/ idli- cookvegkitchen
Idli and Dosa are one of the most favorite dishes for your children. Why don't you just spice it up with a delicious gravy , may be your are looking for a delicious Aaloo recipe or you are a Aaloo fan. Ingredients for gravy:
1) Boiled potatoes (3)
2) Tomatoes (2 small size)
3) Onion (Big size, 2)
4) Salt (requried amounts)
5) Oil/mustard
6) Turmeric (1 tsp)
7) Red chili (1 tbsp)
Ingredients for masala:
1) Coconut (1/2 cup)
2) Roasted Bengal gram (1 tbsp)
3) Cumin seeds (1 tbsp)
4) Ginger (1 inch)
5) Garlic (2 to 3 clove)
Preparation for masala:
Grind the coconut, Bengal gram, cumin seed, ginger and garlic into a fine paste and keep it aside.
Preparation of gravy:
Take a pan and roast the mustard in it. Add the onion, green chili to the pan when the mustard cracking and saute it well. After the onion softens add the tomato to the mixture and mix it well for 2 minutes. Add turmeric,salt and red chili powder and saute it for 1 min. Now add the Roughly smashed boiled potatoes in to the pan and mix it well, you may add water according to your consistency and allow it to boil for sometime. When the liquid starts boiling add our masala paste to it and saute it well until the masala dissloves completely, cover the lid for 2 to 3 minutes. Open the lid and add sugar and coriander leaves to our gravy and serve it hot with Dosa or Idli!
Now your Aaloo masala is ready to be served!
